This Voorheesville couple moved into this 60’s ranch style house in 1985 and until last year they used the original builder’s kitchen, but it did not have a good layout. There was a peninsula that broke up the room and was too far from the cooking area to be functional counter space. When the kids grew up and college was paid for, they started to get serious about remodeling. They first met Bennett project manager Tony at the TU Home Show. That started a two year dialog which moved from budgeting to design. Bennett designer Justina took all of concerns with the old kitchen and came up with a completely different and creative layout. Designs from other places like Home Depot or Curtis did not come close.
After strong recommendations from a few friends, they settled on Bennett to do the work. Bennett assigned lead carpenter Josh Lockwood, who they described as “fabulous” and a “great guy”. Due to a death in the family, they were able to move out of the house for a period, so they had Bennett refinished all the hardwood floor and remodel the bathroom at the same time. They are extremely happy with the results.
