Picture yourself returning home from a breezy, sunny summer day at the beach, and you get to walk into this charming and calming kitchen! At Bennett, we not only design and install kitchens in the Capital Region, but we’ve also designed kitchens and delivered cabinets across the east coast.
This kitchen was designed by Bennett’s Sarah McDonald and delivered to a home in Montauk, NY on the eastern tip of Long Island. While Bennett did not do the installation, the finished product came out beautifully.
The homeowner wanted the space to feel bright and airy, but wanted to match the beach aesthetic of the rest of the house. Sarah chose a color palette focused around the blue tone of the ocean, which starts with the base cabinets and carries over into the tones of the Cambria quartz countertop. The dual color cabinets with a brushed glazed finish, includes light blue lower cabinets and creamy white upper cabinets. The cabinets were manufactured by R.D. Henry & Company, while the countertops were made by Cambria.
Sarah focused on the tiniest details, including the hexagonal hardware shape corresponding with the hexagonal backsplash tile accent. The driftwood style flooring finishes off the beach feel, and the symmetry of the island adds a nice center piece.
Sarah’s philosophy is… “Form, function, symmetry, finish”
