Green Island, NY

kitchen remodel by bennett contracting

The smallest town and village in New York based on land area, Green Island covers only .7 of a square mile, and only has a population of about 2,600 residents. It was once a center for manufacturing and transportation with the construction of the Federal Dam in 1823. The dam also attracted the attention of Henry Ford, who built a car manufacturing plant near the dam, to power his factory with hydroelectric power. Although the Ford Manufacturing plant closed in 1989, many companies such as, Sealy Mattress Company and Honeywell Friction Materials, still move to the area today to take advantage of the affordable electricity.

Today, Bennett Contracting provides Green Island residents with home services such as window replacement and installation, door replacement and installation, siding, bathroom remodeling, kitchen remodeling, deck and porch construction, & general home remodeling and additions. From the first call, our experienced project managers will guide you through every step of the process to ensure you receive the design, materials, and functionality that your home requires.

We are proud to extend our services to Green Island, as well as Troy, Cohoes, Waterford, Latham, Newtonville, Sycaway, Menands, Albany, and the nearby New York area. Give our professionals a call for your next project at 518.462.6731, or visit our website today!
